Wow. That Was A Nice Bout Of Snow

vlcsnap-00062It started snowing at 0730 this morning, I know cause I was sitting here looking out the window, and didn’t really stop until about 1530 this afternoon. We had 2 inches on the ground (and on our deck railing) by 1100. Got some great video on my phone.

So, the Dog and I went for several walks. He loves the snow! I don’t know what he’s looking for, but, he’ll stich his head under the snow looking for it.

Made the mail run at our usual time. On the way back got stuck behind one of our neighbors (that lives down the other end of the lane) stuck halfway up the hill. Waited while he cleared tire track’s; but that didn’t work. When he slid off to the side of the road I was able to pass him. Stopped and asked him if he had a tow-strap; he did. So we hooked it up and I pulled him the rest of the way up the hill. (Nice of me. Don’t tell anyone!)

Other than that just not a lot going on. Can’t remember anything really happening yesterday except for occasional snow flurries.

The MCARC 10-meter Tuesday Chat Net went well. I heard most everyone. They didn’t have any trouble hearing me! Glad I got my long-wire back up!

Just Not A Lot Going On

Lazy Sunday. Got all my usual chores done; including laundry. Dog walking done (and we met a new neighbor while out). Big Bang Theory is converting. Radio is going on in the background. Been trying to snow outside but have had only occasional flurries.

Yesterday my Schweetie took me to the little Mexican restaurant in Shelton for dinner. It was good. Made our usual stop at Walmart and I bought one of those Keurig thingies. (Surprise, it actually makes a decent cup of coffee. And tea.) She still had homework to do so I spent the evening just messing around.

This evening, SWMBO wound up sitting in my room and watching “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” and just enjoying each other’s company. Nice. Spending time with each other. Movie was okay too.

And I still managed to get in on the MCARC 2-meter Sunday Evening Chat Net! And they heard me! Cool!

But, that’s really all that there is today. Except: If it ain’t gonna snow for 9-15 feet, let’s end this Winter shit and move on to Spring. Summer would be better though.

Woke To A Flat Tire This Morning

FemJoy-02-09Actually, SWMBO came in to the bedroom last night when she got home and told me the Driver’s side rear tire was flat. I believe I mumbled something in the vein of “Mreally? Mile Make Mare Morning.” before going back to sleep.

Which I did after my morning routine. Hate it1 Ten years ago I could have changed that tire in 10 minutes. This morning it took me almost 3/4 hour. AND I had to read the damned directions.

Smacked my face against the side of the truck when the lug wrench slipped. Saw moons & stars & old Popeye cartoons for a moment, but, got it changed and taken to Les in town where they fixed it and put everything back to where it belongs. Nice of FemJoy-02-08them. And they didn’t charge me for it. No wonder I try to buy all my tires at Les Schwab.

On the way home I stopped by the Library and asked the lady there for the book on Schroedinger’s Cat and Pavlov’s Dogs. She said it rang a bell but couldn’t be sure if it was in or not. Then she pointed out the Librarian.

Wx is supposed to suck this weekend with the chance of snow again. Right now it’s STILL raining and occasionally the wind kicks up. Too crappy to take the Dog for a walk. Left side of my face hurts and is slightly swollen over my left eye after smacking it agains the truck earlier.

Wow! It was really coming down out there for a few.

Anywho, my Big Bang Theory Seasons 1-9 Blu-Ray’s came in so I’ll probably start ripping them. (Really? No probably about it.) I get to pick SWMBO up tonight. Dinner ain’t gonna make itself.

So, we be home. SWMBO is in doing her homework. I’m thinking I’ll be going to lay down and read a bit.

Just A Little Bit Of SSDD Around Here

Started snowing right at 0700 this morning. Put down about an inch before it turned to rain; and now it’s all almost gone. Dog and I even took a walk while it was snowing. Turned to rain while we were out. Bummer!

SWMBO got home from church and fixed Ham, Mac & Cheese, and Peas for dinner. Yummy. She took the Dog for a walk while I cleaned up the mess. (Didn’t take long.) Fr17Now we’re kind of sitting around waiting for her Home Teachers to drop by. Should be soon …

They came over and visited for awhile. Nice people. Somehow we start talking about politics. Everytime. But it’s okay cause they’re as redneck as I am.

Anywho, that’s really all that’s going on. I’m gonna go read a bit.
