No Post Because

door01It’s been too cold (for me) to get out and do much of anything yesterday or today. Bundle up and take the Dog for walks is about it.

Oh, really exciting. Tried to activate my new “chip” ATM card and the damned center let me get all the way through activating it right up to changing my pin. Said I wasn’t calling from the phone number on file and to contact my financial institution.

So I drove down to the bank and the nice lady changed my phone number. Got home and tried the card thing again. Same results. I was NOT a happy camper.

door02But, it worked today. Guess it took some time for their really fast computer’s to get it’s data up to date.

And that is about as exciting as it’s been around here. Which is okay. Weather is cold but not the –15 one of my cousin’s back east is living. I’m not in an Airport getting shot at. Get to go pick SWMBO up at the QFC since it’s Friday evening.

Well, the new Puppy has gotten to where he’ll come in from outside if I leave him out there long enough. But, even though it’s the exact same kind of door, he’ll wait in the garage until I open the human door to check on him. Go figure. Still having a bit of a problem with pooping indoors though. He’ll get over it. Someday.

It’s the freezing rain part I don’t like.

Holy Crap. COLD Out There!

Took the Dog for a short walk (mostly just around the house) and even he was anxious to get back into the house to warm up. No wonder it’s so hard to get him to go outside to take a poop! Something wrong with Sunny but Freezing!

Not a lot happening today. Mail run. Couple of walks. Installed some “cansolator” things into one of the cabinets to test out holding Thrive stuff. (I don’t like it. Way too much empty space. So far.)

BikAir4aPut some wood on the metal shelf I installed in my room a couple of weeks ago and put all those planes I got from my FIL on it. Too high.

X-Plane for a couple of hours. Trying to learn to land a helo without bouncing all over the place. Thinking maybe I should volunteer to be a drone pilot for the Marines. (Yes, I could kill people that, as we say down South, need killin’.)

Submitted a bunch of pictures to Google Maps from places we’ve been. Fun. I take lots of pictures when we go places. Love those with SWMBO in them.

All the usual chores, of course.

MCARC 10-Meter Tuesday Evening Chat Net went well. Still haven’t heard anyone from Ohio though.

So. Guess I’ll quit boring y’all.

Yeah, Another Holiday Monday

SWMBO got a taste of MY world today. At 0530 this morning she was up, dressed, and ready to GO when she remembered she had the day off. Well, more specifically, she thought today was Tuesday. Welcome to my world, Schweetie!

He's Found His Sleeping Spot!

I didn’t hear a thing. Which is unusual cause every little noise wakes me. Usually. But this morning I slept until almsot 0900. 0900! I must have been tired.

BikAir1aSo we spent a lazy day hanging around the house. Took the Dog for a walk or two. (Fookin’ COLd out there!) And took the Dog to Pet World in Gig Harbor to get him some “chew toys” to maybe get him off chewing the arms of the chair he likes. Stopped at “THAT” window on the way home and he got a burger patty. Think he liked it.

Not a whole heck of a lot going on now. Evening and we’re just doing our things. (Take that as you may.)

Oh, on the way home I remembered the $100 Jo Anne’s gift card I got for SWMBO for Christmas but forgot to give to her. Forgetful me. So she got that when we got home so I wouldn’t forget it again. Damn, I hate getting old!

Welcome To 2017. Gotta Be Better Than 2016.

sue2bNot a lot going on but I thought I’d check in. Was in bed and asleep by midnight last night so I didn’t actually see the New Year arrive. Heard some of our neighbors setting off mortars; at least, they sound like mortars. Lot’s of booming going on!

Last friday I picked up our New Dog. Wiz. He’s a pretty smart dog but still really shy around us. Neither of us wants to move too fast around him cause it sends him skittering away. But, he’ll get used to us.

Had a chance to see how he’d do by himself yesterday. SWMBO stopped off and got me a Taco Salad (without rice) on the way home so we ate here. She then took me to COSTCO for some “stuff” and we made our usual stop at Safeway on the way home.

Dog did fine. He had my slippers scattered about the big room; but he hadn’t chewed them up. And we’ve had only a couple of poop’s to clean up. The pet doors still freak him out but he’s getting easier to push through them. He’ll learn.

sue20aSnowed some last night (about 1/2 inch) and some more today. No real accumulation though. Was light enough that SWMBO could still drive to church and back. We took the Dog for a walk when she got home. Windy and cold. COLD.

The ISS passed right over our house early this morning; but, true to the Northwest, it was cloudy so I couldn’t see it go by. I hate this State. The Western part of this State.

No MCARC 2-meter Net tonight. Everybody must be recouperating from their midnight celebrations. Except for me and a couple of the guys. Old, we are.
