Well, not really a monitor; although that’s what I’ll be using it for. Went to Best Buy, and the selections there were a 24” monitor that I could sorta read without glasses ($115.00), or a 32” TV that I could read without glasses ($125.00). Guy was freaked when I asked him to hook it to a computer! But I wanted to see it in action. And it’s wall mountable. And the mount I took off the Hanns G fits just perfect. Didn’t even have to move the mount at all. Cool!

Had to rearrange the screens. Fix the resolution. The two TV’s are running at 1360×768. The AOC monitor (on the right) is at 1680×1050. I could ramp both the TV’s up to 1920×1080 but the task bar (along the top) disappears. Gonna have to wok on that cause I want the higher resolution. I hate the task bar being at the bottom of the screen though.

Oh, hey. Just made the task bar wider/taller, ramped the resolution up to 1980 and I can see it when it drops down now. Let me play with this for awhile. Just made all three 1980×1080 and it seems to be working good. Cool!!! Rebooting will be the telling thing to do though. If it survives rebooting then it’ll be good to go.

My Lovely-Young-Bride of almost 30 years (Dec 20th!) is home. Somehow got me logged on to Ancestry.Com and uploading family pictures I have. Fun! She keeps asking me for information (What part of “I don’t know” is hard to understand?) and I keep telling her to log into Facebook and talk to the family directly.

Anywho, it’s this Old Guy’s bedtime so I’m gonna go lay down and read a bit. (I purely love reading!)

Just feel funky. Like I’m coming down with something. Lazy. Tired.

But I did make a run to ACE (which took longer than usual cause of construction) for some staples and wood filler. When I got home I attached that last piece of trim to the new linen closet I installed in the hall. Filled in the small gap where I didn’t quite match cuts with the corners of the trim. Soon as that’s dry (or next week) I’ll use some fine sandpaper and smooth it out for painting.

Other than that I have not managed to do a damned thing. Barely cooked my own dinner. (Can of soup and a salad.)

My Hanns G monitor went TU today. Dang! I’ve had that thing for 7-8 years. Screen just goes dark after a couple of seconds after powering up. When it is on there is part of the screen that’s darker than the rest and the whole screen is dim. If it was a CRT I’d say it’s suffering the classical “I’m going Tits Up Real Soon” syndrome.

So, tomorrow I’ll go to the bank and check my balance and, if I think I have enough, I’ll head off to Walmart and buy another monitor. Except a 25-32” tv would be cheaper. Too bad my video card has only one HDMI out!

Just tried posting last nights musings and got an error saying I couldn’t. So I went to my wordpress login and deactivate the only plug-in that I’ve installed recently: Jetpack. Tried to post and it worked. Now to figure out why Jetpack won’t let me post before reactivating it. (I hate when computer shit doesn’t work right.)

Anywho, I still feel like a gummy bear sitting on a sunny dash. I’m going to lay down.

If you think snot-bubbles in an infant is gross, you really didn’t want to see me at Walmart yesterday! Ugh! I don’t know where I caught it, but, yesterday morning my nose started running and just wouldn’t stop. Even got some congestion and post-nasal crap that was kicking my butt.

But, I went to dinner with the Love Of My Life at the all you can eat chinese place in Port Orchard, where I really didn’t have that much to eat cause it was all pretty tasteless. It all must have been okay though cause SWMBO seemed to enjoy it.

Made the mistake of taking a swig of that Dayquil stuff; kept me awake until almost 0100 this morning. And when I finally got up today my nose was still running. Seems to have quit by 1500 though; so that’s good.

Otherwise, our date went well; if not the “usual.” For us that is. Walmart I started with the snot-bubble’s so I went out and waited in the truck for SWMBO to finish shopping. Got home and just chilled. Literally.

Not doing a whole heck of a lot today. SWMBO made fried chicken for dinner that was pretty good. At least I’m tasting things again. SWMBO bought Seasons 1-4 of Criminal Minds yesterday and I’ve been ripping those to convert for the TV Drive. Testing how many pictures I can scan to the 16 Gig card with that little scanner I have that we’ll be taking to the family reunion. (1900 so far with 14+ Gig remaining. I think it’ll handle the reunion.) The usual Sunday chores.

The MCARC Sunday Evening 2-meter Chat Net went well. Not a lot of check-ins, but enough. Good signals all around.

And that really is it from this boring Old Guy.

I’m even borin gmyself today. Just not a whole Hell of a lot going on except working on the garden area. Sun came out for awhile and it was really nice. Dark cloudy now though. Even getting kind of cool. Might be time to put some clothes on.

Other than that the only thing I’ve done today is go get mail. I do get to pick SWMBO up at the QFC tonight; but that ain’t for a few hours. Think I’ll go back outside.

Nice out there! SWMBO finally agreed to let me remove that vine plant thingie she planted next to the front door a few years ago. Says it just wasn’t flowery or smelly enough for her. I never did like it where it was anyway cause it was going to try to climb into the attic. Which it did. Try. It’s gone now; though I doubt I managed to pull all the roots out and I’ll be yanking those for years to come. Wasps weren’t happy with me but I managed not to get stung.

Got 2 of the 3 chicken-wire thingies up so the peas or whatever will have something to climb on and grow. Only scratched the Hell out of my hands a couple of times! Must be getting better at this kind of stuff.

Tomorrow I need to get:

• Cable Staples
• Smaller 2×4 joist hanger thingie (I know what I’m looking for!)
• Roll of chicken wire
• A Ton of compost

and I should be closer to being done. Then I have to figure out what to plant this late in the season. Peas. Always Peas.

So the Dog and I picked SWMBO up at the QFC and we’re all home safe and sound and settled in for the night. Mostly. And, since it’s about my bedtime, I think I’ll go lay down and read a bit.
