Wx Changed Yesterday To Rain

So, of course, I woke up with a splitting headache. Lasted all damned day so I didn’t get much of anything done until well after 1500 hrs. Even freezing my head didn’t seem to help much. I even tried napping; and it’s really rare for me to lay back down during the day. Damn, I hate waking with a headache!

But it did eventually go away and I got my usual chores done. Checked mail before it got dark out. (You ever reach into a dark mailbox? You don’t know what the hell is in there!) Picked SWMBO up at the Ferry Landing (raining like a bitch!), came back home, and pretty much crashed. Still got to sleep around my usual time.

It’s a bit early right now (0620) but I have to be in Olympia by 1300 for an appointment with the folks that are going to do the sleep study on me. Already have the route programmed into the truck to test my directions-thingie.

Well, appointment went well; if short. Got there at 1230 (wasn’t as hard to find as I’d figured), appointment at 1330 (Doc seemed kinda perfunctory(?)), and was on my way home by 1430. For some reason the Doc (Lampert) just didn’t impress me. But, they’re having me go back the 31st for the actual Sleep Study so I guess it works out. He (the Doc) said that he’s not sure if I have Sleep Apnea or just plain trouble getting to sleep. I guess we’ll see.

And that’s pretty much my day. At least I didn’t wake up with a headache again. I get to pick SWMBO up at the Ferry Landing tonight and plan our trip to Portland for Sunday.

Damn! I’m sick of hearing Seahawk shit on tv. Hazards of having only a local News channel to watch.

Well, I Did Get Out Of The House Today

Made a trip to Shelton to check the MCARC Mail box; since it hasn’t been checked in over a month. Wasted trip. Box was stuffed. Didn’t keep a single piece of mail. As much as there was, only 1 piece wasn’t spam. Comcast really wants the club to buy Internet through them. One piece of mail was from a prisoner in one of the local prisons to someone we never heard of. Gave that one to the Postman to send back. Everything else went into the trash.

Pretty much rained all the way there, and all the way back. Lot’s of flooding around the area. Mudslides knocked a couple of houses off their foundations. Blocked access to Aberdeen. Rivers up all over the place! Good thing the rain is supposed to end tonight. Was still I nice ride though. Stopped at the bank and Safeway. Got gas for $2.05/gal. Not bad.

Spent pretty much the rest of the day working in the Pantry. It’s still a disorganized mess, but the new shelves we picked up last Saturday are assembled and in place. Tomorrow I’ll get in there and straighten up and clean it out. Just didn’t feel like doing it today.

Was so tired I took the easy way for dinner and cooked up a couple of burrito’s. That’s it; just burrito’s.

Pretty Much An SSDD Sunday

Just not a lot going on. And, I admit, I kinda, sorta, got caught up in a Doctor Who (Season 04) marathon for most of the day. Just felt like it.

I Miss River Song

Did get my regular chores & (most of the) laundry done. Sun came out and me and the Dog went for a tour of the back 40. Moved my other two antenna’s from one side of the house to the other and go those hooked up to the radio and the tuner.

Made dinner (Chicken Enchilada’s and steamed cauliflower) for the Missionary’s. They seemed to enjoy it. More importantly, SWMBO seemed to enjoy it. Wasn’t much to send home with them but they got to take it anyway.

Now I’m just kinda, sorta, waiting around until time for the MCARC 2-meter Sunday Evening Chat Net. (The highly informal version.) Dishes are getting washed and the last load of laundry is in the dryer.

Well, the Net went well. Only 5 check-ins but it’s the last weekend shopping day before Christmas so I was kind of half way expecting a light turnout. But it went good.

Pretty “normal” Saturday around here. SWMBO off to the Genealogy Library for her shift. Then she took her friend (who’s afraid of being stuck in her house for weeks and being unable to go) shopping at Winco Foods before coming home for our date.

Which took place at “Famous Dave’s” in Silverdale. She had the BBQ Ribs and I had the BBQ Pork and we both got stuffed. Made a quick stop by Home Depot where we got some LED Bulbs, then our usual stop at Safeway on the way home.

It rained the whole time we were out and now the wind is starting to kick up. Oh, Joy.
