Just Not A Lot Going On

Lazy Sunday. Got all my usual chores done; including laundry. Dog walking done (and we met a new neighbor while out). Big Bang Theory is converting. Radio is going on in the background. Been trying to snow outside but have had only occasional flurries.

Yesterday my Schweetie took me to the little Mexican restaurant in Shelton for dinner. It was good. Made our usual stop at Walmart and I bought one of those Keurig thingies. (Surprise, it actually makes a decent cup of coffee. And tea.) She still had homework to do so I spent the evening just messing around.

This evening, SWMBO wound up sitting in my room and watching “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” and just enjoying each other’s company. Nice. Spending time with each other. Movie was okay too.

And I still managed to get in on the MCARC 2-meter Sunday Evening Chat Net! And they heard me! Cool!

But, that’s really all that there is today. Except: If it ain’t gonna snow for 9-15 feet, let’s end this Winter shit and move on to Spring. Summer would be better though.

Woke To A Flat Tire This Morning

FemJoy-02-09Actually, SWMBO came in to the bedroom last night when she got home and told me the Driver’s side rear tire was flat. I believe I mumbled something in the vein of “Mreally? Mile Make Mare Morning.” before going back to sleep.

Which I did after my morning routine. Hate it1 Ten years ago I could have changed that tire in 10 minutes. This morning it took me almost 3/4 hour. AND I had to read the damned directions.

Smacked my face against the side of the truck when the lug wrench slipped. Saw moons & stars & old Popeye cartoons for a moment, but, got it changed and taken to Les in town where they fixed it and put everything back to where it belongs. Nice of FemJoy-02-08them. And they didn’t charge me for it. No wonder I try to buy all my tires at Les Schwab.

On the way home I stopped by the Library and asked the lady there for the book on Schroedinger’s Cat and Pavlov’s Dogs. She said it rang a bell but couldn’t be sure if it was in or not. Then she pointed out the Librarian.

Wx is supposed to suck this weekend with the chance of snow again. Right now it’s STILL raining and occasionally the wind kicks up. Too crappy to take the Dog for a walk. Left side of my face hurts and is slightly swollen over my left eye after smacking it agains the truck earlier.

Anywho, my Big Bang Theory Seasons 1-9 Blu-Ray’s came in so I’ll probably start ripping them. (Really? No probably about it.) I get to pick SWMBO up tonight. Dinner ain’t gonna make itself.

So, we be home. SWMBO is in doing her homework. I’m thinking I’ll be going to lay down and read a bit.

Thursday? Already? WTF?

For the life of me I can’t remember really doing anything, but, that usually doesn’t stop me from posting anyway. Except, lately, the Dog and I have been going on more walks (when the Wx let’s us), and I think that’s been making me tired enough to just go lay down and go to sleep (mostly). Well, that and boredom.

Cause, I have to admit, I’m bored. The Depression has really kicked in lately. Mid-Winter Blues? Getting-Towards-The-End of Winter Blues? I’m just not sure. All I know is that it’s sometimes hard to get myself to 66Blond04actually get off my fat ass and DO something.

Oh, I got outside and got my long-wire antenna up. That took all of an hour (and was a shit-load of fun doing it by myself). It’s working great though. Listen in on the Noontime Net (7268.5 LSB) and everyong said they heard me great on the MCARC Tuesday Evening Chat Net on 28.450 USB. I even heard most of them. Cool.

66Blond06Other than that: been raining too much to really do many walks today. Dog is bored. I got down in the basement and started straightening up, moving things around, and sweeping up the crap I’ve been meaning to sweep up (for about 5 years now). I have lots of pieces of wood left over from various projects and a butt-ton of old cabinet doors (expensive cabinet doors). Have no idea what I’m going to do/make with it all; but keep it around Just In Case.

It being Thursday SWMBO has class over in the Mullinex building and won’t be home until around 2200. I may just go ahead and lay down early and read a bit before she gets home. Although lately I’ve been doing more Facebook and Tumblr than reading. Again.

Ok. We Be Home Safe And Sound

al1Well, Safe anyway. Woke up a bit late this morning and started getting ready to come on home. Man, we can make a mess! But, got every-thing done, packed away, and even got the sewage drained. Took off from Hoquiam about 0930.

Got home before Noon. Unpacked. Dishes started. Laundry started. So SWMBO wisked me off to Costco. Spent way too much on things we need. Usual stop at Safeway and, we’re back.

Will probably go to bed after the Belfair Monday 2-meter Net. Tired. I only drove 200+ miles today

Net went okay.

Oh, coming home, when we turned up Sandhill, A big bald eagle took off from the side of the road and flew across the road in front of us. I might have captured it on my dashcam. Cool!
